We were booked in from the 25th to 28th of July 2013. Upon checking in I noticed the entrance carpet had half dried mud from someone's boots or shoes, it extended to the elevator doors. That afternoon, I walked to the nearby grocery store while my husband napped and on returning I notice a man, whom I had seen inside the foyer as I was leaving for the store and was dressed in grey plaid flannel pants and carrying a tall bucket, I assumed he was part of the staff. This man was about 10 ft. From the front entrance, positioned in a corner of the brick wall facing inwards, I realized he was relieving himself , quite fully I might add as the urine was running under his shoes and then over the curb onto the driveway where guests pull around when checking in. I mentioned in immediately to the front desk, where they seemed shocked however neither the man or the blond woman did not seem to move outside as I was entering the elevator. The next morning, the dried mud was still there, nothing had been vacuumed so I suggested it did not look very welcoming and that, it had been there since the day before. I also noticed that the wet area and outline of the river of urine across the driveway was still there although a garden hose with a spray end was not more than 20 ft. And around the corner by the outside patio area and very handy if someone had taken it to clean the urine area which I believe no one did. I also did not receive an apology for the urinating employee until late the next day when I asked someone if the urine had been washed away, they then must have realized I was the one that told them about it as it was happening the day before. Not at all a good 1st impression. As well, this super 8 which you would think sounds like an economy motel was very expensive in my Ontario resident opinion. Also the air conditioner was not working , just the fan was working on it, never heard the compressor kick in once, and the bathroom faucet dripped constantly.
