“Stay over in SLAB”

  , Fort Mcmurray
Ok stay; got to say that Allison &Barbara at front desk on both stays really made the hotel stand out. Their friendliness and knowledge really moved the hotel into my stay again perspective. They were present at our check out. And at our 2nd stay on way through.Negative- the smell...not sure what is being used as a fragrance spray but GET RID of it...febreeze or something- rather smell old cigarette smoke than what we smelled or go with a fruit infused smell.Room set up decent- beds were super comfy and like the white down style comforters- look clean and are comfy. Pool and hot tub which makes us want to stay were good- ball in pool nice touch but temp on pool on 1st day was up and almost too warm (rather this than the cold though). As accustomed to work crews didnt faze me too much but to guests not from northern Alberta this prob would be somewhat bothersome.....many companies use hotels in lieu of work camps and is how it is but rooms do appear to be wearing this use/abuse. I would remind hotel owners if having this type of guests be prepared to invest more on better upkeep of your units. One room we stayed in had the security latch busted off the wall. Didnt bother me too much as deadbolt worked.Breaky decent enough liked that they had real yogurt and not the no calories stuff...For the rate and locale with breaky not too bad at all...
