“Excellent inquiry info from Aaron; condescending desk clerk; nice room, skimpy & unhealthy breakfast,”

  , Redding
When I called to inquire about pricing, etc., I talked to Aaron (in Aberdeen, SD). Aaron was absolutely wonderful; he went above and beyond what was required of him to make sure I was informed and satisfied. However, when I arrived at the motel (on Saturday, June 15th, 2013, around 9pm), the man who checked me in, who was of East Indian descent and whose name I didn't get, was the worst person who could have been chosen for the job. He was fiddling with a computer mouse and, in spite of the fact that I made some noise, he didn't bother to look up. So I said, "Excuse me...". He then looked up, acting as if I was an annoyance, and said, "Yes?" I told him I was there to check in ( which was obviously a further intrusion on his privacy. After I paid him, he offered me no info whatsoever, except that my room # was on the second floor, in front. I had to inquire about everything else; e.g. what time and where was breakfast. His answers were short and curt, which complemented his condescinding attitude. I had also asked Aaron about a microwave, which Aaron said he'd try to get for me, and which the Indian guy said wasn't in the room because there was no note. He didn't offer to inquire about getting one, nor did he apologize. The room was nice enough (although the sink drain was almost plugged up, but I didn't really mind that). Since I didn't see a TV remote, I called the front desk to inquire about it. I was told that there was a white thing with the TV channels, as if I should have known to look behind it where it was blocked from view. Breakfast was skimpy & unhealthy, so I ended up eating what I brought.
