“You get what you pay for.”

The most positive thing I can say about this place is that the rates are very cheap and affordable. The room itself was simple but clean, and the bed was comfortable. However, the sink and toilet were located on opposite sides of the room, which was odd. When I first arrived there was a bag of dirty laundry thrown haphazardly in the hallway. When I asked for an iron I was told to come get it from the front desk. But when I got to the front desk the person behind the counter did not have one and had to go hunting for it in a different room. Meanwhile another guest was complaining that his room was not ready for him: not only had it not been cleaned but it was "torn apart" in his words. Another pair of guests told the manager that they were leaving to see if there was room in another hotel down the road, and that they might be back if the other hotel didn't have a room... Eventually the young lady from the front desk brought me the iron. When she saw the dirty laundry in the corner she blamed it on one of the other guests who was hanging around outside. But the guest said it wasn't him and that he had just arrived so how could he have made that mess? The alarm clock in the room was dusty and needed to be plugged in and the time needed to be set. The wireless internet service was extremely, frustratingly slow. Breakfast in the morning was in an old-world style room that had a certain amount of character. But the offerings were nothing to write home about: coffee, two kinds of sweet cereal (raisin bran and frosted flakes), do-it-yourself waffles, bland slices of bread, danishes, yogurt, bananas that were not ripe enough, and something that appeared to be orange juice but tasted like Tang.
