“This location NOT recommended”

Arriving after a long day of driving we expected a room and service characteristic of past expereinces with other Super 8 motels in other locations. That was NOT the case. While the front desk person was very polite and checked us in to our room we discovered after unpacking that the sink was blocked. After notifying the front desk staff person she informed us that there was no maintenance staff available that evening so assigned us to another room on another floor. Throughout the evening we could hear the television set in the room next door and expected the noise level to stop by midnight. It did not. Unable to sleep we contacted the front dest around 2 am. No one answered the phone. We tried again about 20 minutes later and again no one answered the phone. Making our way to the front desk we learned that the staff person had taken the phone off the hook. We informed him of our concerns but by that time we decided were would leave and continue our journey home. We plan to follow up with a written letter to management at Super 8 noting this expereince. We will definitely NOT stay at that location again.
