“Perfect place for "hobby convention" crash pad.”

  , Plainfield
At a bit over half the cost of the "convention hotel" Super 8 was a thrifty alternative and met my expectations. My room-mate and I chose not to participate in the wee hour "afterglow" parties of the convention and were spared the noise etc. Because quite a few of the conference attendees stayed at S8 we were able to have our own social gathering. Distance to the school auditorium for the convention was a convenient distance.Although a non-smoking room the bathroom ventilator smelled of cigarettes. The room was very warm. Turning the thermostat down seemed to have little effect. Opening the window finally cooled it down.Light from the street light was very bright for this rural mountain dweller. Pulling the shades blocked morning light. But I expect street light issues in a city. Adjusting street lighting to not illuminate the building wall may represent a security problem.
