“Mapping needed”

For some totally unexplained reason rooms numbered in the 400's are on the lowest floor (I assume along with the 100 series rooms). 500 series rooms are on the second floor along with probably 200's while the third floor is exclusively 300's. While not a show stopper I'd really have appreciated being told about this little practical joke before I climbed all those steps only to find my room was actually downstairs from the enterance in a semi - basement. Needless to say if you're going to pull a stunt like this you do not put elevators in your hotel, takes all the fun out of it.Other than that it's pretty much a typical Super 8; older, thin walls, partly functiong TV remote, but an economical place if all you want to do is sleep there for a night. The "poor" rating I gave the staff is strictly for the person who helped me at check in. She didn't bother to mention the room number oddities, didn't know if the hotel had an AAA discount and projected great indigation that I'd actually ask her to see if there was one. Other than that she was only slow, disinterested, and given to mumbling. The person who helped me on check out was friendly, fast, and efficient.
