Where to begin. When we checked in at 5PM, our rooms weren't ready because they were cleaning the carpets. Needless to say, our carpets were wet the rest of the night. The toilet would not flush. The large (and heavy) mirror fell off the wall and almost hit one of our children. The legs were broken on the chair in our room so it tipped and you couldn't sit on it. The cover kept falling off the air conditioner exposing our room to the outside. The window wouldn't latch shut so we didn't feel very safe. Windows would open up all the way and had no screens. Even the room on the second floor would do this which is not very safe for children. The pool area had not been cleaned in a long time and the hot tub was no warmer than the pool and didn't work. The "business" area is a janitors closet with no lights and had exposed electrical wires. Plus, it was never available due to "permanent" residents (see below) constantly using it. The Wi-Fi was supposed to work throughout the complex but only worked in the lobby. The hotel rents out to weekly and monthly customers which is fine but the class of people staying here was sketchy at best. Fighting in the parking lot. Marijuana was being smoked by multiple rooms. Cigarettes can be smoked anywhere within the buildings and rooms. The breakfast was horrible and there was no place to sit with all the families feeding their children before sending them off to school. A box of doughnuts was put out on two occasions and each time a monthly resident took the whole box. When we asked if we could have one we were told no that they were for the "permanent" residents. I asked the hotel staff to intervene and I was told I needed to be quicker to get them the next time. The coffee was cold and old. The hotel staff said to warm it up in the microwave. Apple and Orange juices were heavily watered down. No milk to have with cereal. Luckily there was a McDonald's across the street. Residents on our wing were loud and constantly coming and going.....all night long. We didn't feel safe asking them for quiet and the front desk staff didn't answer the phone when we called on a couple of occasions.Needless to say, I will never stay at this hotel again. Save yourself the headache and spend the extra $20/night to stay at another establishment nearby. « less
