“Definitely only a $50/night room”

We chose this motel based on it's "close" location to Disneyland and it's "warm" breakfast each morning (I called and was told the breakfast had waffles and biscuits & sausage gravy and more). We arrived not expecting the room to be wonderful so weren't disappointed... pretty standard room although it did NOT have a refrigerator which we've come to expect these days. The beds made both my and my husband's backs hurt which was frustrating since they seemed comfy enough when we layed down. The bathtub floor was stained and although the water pressure was good the water went from hot to cold and back on the busier days (Thursday-Saturday) which was super annoying. When we went to breakfast the first morning they only had cereal (raisin bran & frosted flakes all 8 days we were there), oatmeal packets, bread to make toast, cinnamon rolls that you could heat up in the microwaves, and sliced oranges. We were disappointed to say the least. On Friday and Saturday mornings they brought in yogurts and eggo waffles too... but on these days the room was so busy that you couldn't even manuever around much less get a table. :( So then the walk to the park... their website says they are "just a few blocks" when in fact it is just shy of a mile to the park entrance.... disappointing again. The pool and pool area is small and the pool is cold (even though it's "heated")... our 2 and 4 year olds (who are water crazies!) only wanted to stay in for about 30 minutes before their teeth were chattering. The only other thing is that the night before we were leaving we asked for a late check out (normal is 11) since our flight didn't leave until 7:50pm (and none of us wanted to get in the pool again to use up time!).... the guy said that the housekeeping staff leaves at 4 so they would still need time to come in and clean before that but that we should check back the next morning to see how late we could get. Went in the next morning and the general manager said the LATEST he could do would be 11:30... then said 12. Pretty sure it doesn't take 3 hours to get a room clean! Overall if you are looking for ONLY a place to sleep this is fine... not the highest "caliber" of people staying there but that can be overlooked... but if you want anything more pick somewhere else... we sure will be next time! A little more money each night would have been worth it.
