“Far away from where we need to be”

I stayed at the super 8 for a business trip, with a few extra days allocated for a brief vacation. I originally thought it was a good deal, but the "deuce" transportation to the strip was slow and expensive. That's not something I was informed about before I made the booking. The internet access was slow, the area is creepy and was there breakfast? I didn't see it. Was there actually a business center? Or a fitness center? That would have been great. My biggest gripe was that the keycards consistently failed. The front desk guy advised me to put it in my pocket, but not next to my cellphone or creditcard - is that really the best you can do? Technology has progressed since 1995 and we now have a number of different access cards that are not based on weak, magnetic strips. You could use RFID or that other radiofrequency alternative. Even a low-tech keycode would be better. I hate standing infront of that door, putting the magnetic strip card in and out for 2-3 minutes, just waiting for the green light. Sometimes I could do it, sometimes I couldn't, but it was a hassle every time. Eventually I left and, at great expense, I just got another hotel room.
