“Pricey; Security?; Freddie the Freeloader”

Finding the hotel was easy. The help was courteous and friendly. Proximity to eating choices was poor. The restaurant in the next-door casino was average - it is the only place to eat nearby, but it wasn't bad. Relatively few channels on the TV, but that could've been worse too. The mattress was a little too firm for us, but again, it could've been worse. Sounds from the hallway came into the room easily, making it more difficult to get to sleep. The continental breakfast was adequate, but no fruit. Nearby gas station was very handy. We stayed on the first floor, which was supposed to be entirely non-smoking, but we did smell smoke in the hall several times during our one-night stay. (FYI: the second floor is also supposed to be non-smoking; Smokers - you have to stay on the third floor.)At the entrance/exit door near the casino, there was a sign on the inside of the door that said something like "Please make sure this door is closed." I thought that was odd until I went through that door, and found that it does not latch by itself! So, anyone staying at this hotel is possibly at the mercy of all other persons staying at this hotel who use this door to get it properly closed - you'd probably have better odds in the casino. This means that anybody could easily wait nearby, or come out of the casino and have a fairly good chance of gaining entry to the hotel without a key-card. So if you stay here, be sure to use all your door's locks and look through your peep-hole before going out into the hallway because you just might find yourself face-to-face with Freddie the Freeloader. I'm not saying it will happen, but that it could easily happen with that entrance door as unsecure as it is.Bottom Line: If you have other more-secure options for a similar or better price, then I would recommend passing on this.
