“No ventilation...”

  , Clovis
For the price of the hotel not much was to be expected anyway, but I was surprised to find that our room was clean, and roomy. They have free breakfast with waffelmaker so that was good. We didn't stay in the room very long, so for those of you needing just a bed to sleep on till the next morning this will suffice. The only problem was there was no ventilation in the bathroom or for the entire building. The walls of the bathroom ( though painted over) had what could only be moisture damage that I'm only guessing is from no ventilation vents. Also the whole hotel had no air conditioning whatsoever (other than what was provided in the rooms as a wall unit) It was 100 degrees outside during our stay and it felt like 89 degrees inside. It was so hot that we had to run our ac on high to escape the heat anywhere, so much so that ours froze over. I even looked around the hallways to see if there were any air conditioning vents, but I saw none. All I could think about was the staff especially the housekeepers who have to push the carts repeatedly down those halls of hell. Also the fact that without proper ventilation in the bathrooms this will only pose as a threat to the hotel owner down the line. Not only with damage to the facade, but mold and dry rot. Better treat with some boric acid or reduce moisture very quickly.
