“Super 8 - Westlake”

Our stay at this facility was disappointing, at best. Our first clue was the dust and hair in the lobby when checking in. It went downhill from there. Our room was not only dirty on the carpet but, also the bathroom floor. When we pulled back the covers, it looked like the bed had been slept in. The pillows were flat as a pancake - probably 20 years old!! We would have checked right back out but, after arriving, we found out our charge card had been compromised and they opened our account just to charge the hotel so - we were stuck. When we pulled the comforter back onto the bed the next morning, there were long dark hairs all over the comforter (neither of which my husband or I have). It almost made me gag!! The second night the room was cleaner but, do your maids have any idea what a hose attachment is? The entire room around the baseboards, bed and bathroom were covered in dust and dirt. No cups were ever replaced in our rooms and we had to make trips back to the office to get cups. The woman you have working the day shift is a disservice to your organization. Unfriendly, doesn't want to be bothered; she'd rather sit and do NOTHING or talk to her friend that's visiting than help patrons. She IS in a customer service position!! The only highlight of the stay was your second shift "second week" hire (we arrived about 6:30pm on 5/3) at the front desk. It was obvious he was new but, he went out of his way to answer our questions - calling his manager twice to find out answers. This young man is an asset to your organization. Ice machine was broken on our last day there.Also, why - when there are only half a dozen rooms occupied, would you put our room directly across from a security light?
