Dear Nicole L,Thank you for your recent review of my hotel. I am sorry that your stay was not as enjoyable as I would have hoped. Our area always has had issues with the boxelder bug. They are indigenous to this area and since our hotel sits in front of a large wooded area, we always have the issues with the boxelder bugs in the fall and spring. Our housekeeping staff does their absolute best to rid them of the room, but they can come through air conditioning vents or open doors. My maintenance staff is resealing all the doors again, but as we have discovered it usually does not help. We are looking into a insecticide that we can use and have in the past, but with the trees in the back, without tearing out the whole wooded area, we are unfortunately always going to have them.Here is some information on the boxelder bug, to educate yourself on the origins and they are not due to not being a clean property and are not harmless:http://www1.extension.umn.edu/garden/insects/find/boxelder-bugs/As far as our ice machine and washer goes: My staff was absolutely correct in telling you that some things are under maintenance because this is our off-season. We do have a perfectly working ice machine on the first floor right off the lobby. We also have our part ordered for the washer, but we do these maintenance projects in the off-season, because in the summer months, we are booked every weekend.I appreciate your comments and concerns and assure you that every corrective measure is being taken to correct the issues. Dear Scott,Thank you for your review. I am sorry that your stay was not enjoyable. Yes, our jacuzzi rooms are non-traditional rooms with an open-air feel, but to be honest, this is the first complaint that I have had regarding it! We always are able to show a room to a prospective guest before they rent, in case it is not to their needs. We also provide extra pillows or blankets through our front desk at no additional charge. The number of pillows on the bed is actually determined by Super 8 Corporate, not through our hotel directly. « hide

Hi David L,I appreciate your review regarding your stay with us. I understand that internet is important to people travelling either for business or leisure. I am sorry that our Wi-Fi was unreliable for your needs. We have recently upgraded our system and seem to have less problems, but occasionally we have to reset the main modem and unless an outage is reported by a guest, we usually are unaware of the problem. We also have three main routers for the hotel. Depending on where your room is, there is a certain network to connect to. If you are on one end of the building trying to connect to a network that is outside of the range, it will not connect.I do hope my staff did all they could to assist in trying to keep you connected. Dear William M,Thank you very much for your review on your recent stay with us. I am glad you enjoyed your stay, but was a bit disappointed to hear that you thought our rooms were outdated :( We have recently furnished every room with a brand new bedspread, a new sitting chair and are in the process of adding our headboard pictures, highlighting our close proximity to Lake Erie and the Islands. I assure you that our bed linens are washed on a daily basis after a guest vacates the room. We do provide extra blankets, pillows, etc. through the front desk, upon request.
