“Comfortable stay”

  , Greeley
My family was travelling through Oklahoma. There are six of us, so we were in a room with three double beds. We arrived quite late, but the evening clerk was cheerful and helpful. When our keys didn't work, she was polite and quick to fix them for us.I was very impressed with the decor. None of it looked overused or broken. The carpets looked brand new. Our room came with a fridge, microwave and flat screen TV. The programming guide was not correct.Initially, I was very disappointed to see that we have the room right next to the door. This happens to us often, and it never fails that we are kept up by the other guests using the door. I was particularly concerned with this hotel, as it was obvious most of them would be leaving for work at dawn. This room was impressively quiet. It wasn't soundproof, but I would expect that. I could hear the door shutting, but it wasn't disruptive. My four children slept soundly. Better than that, there was a major thunderstorm that moved through, and it was barely audible through the walls of the hotel. There are only two points that I could count as a negative for this hotel. The night manager was not very professional or friendly. I had seen her at the desk when we checked in (although the evening manager handled it) and I wasn't entirely sure she worked there. The second issue is really unfortunate. Our shower curtain was rather disgusting. A recent guest had left clumps of something (shampoo? crude oil? snot?) on the shower curtain. It had not been removed by housekeeping, and because it was on the inside, I suspect the curtain was pushed back to scrub the tub, and was missed. I brought it to the attention of the desk manager when we checked out. So as much as I enjoyed my stay, I can't give the hotel a perfect score.
