Our Executive King Suite is our best room-type and includes 1 King-size bed, a fireplace with a sitting area, a double pull-out sofa bed, jacuzzi tub and wet bar area. I apologize that you found this room-type not to be suitable for 2 Adults and 1 child. We have 5 other room-types available at our property and hope that you will find one of them suitable for your next visit to Barrie! « hide

Dear Julie P, Thank you for taking the time to write us a review! The additional $30 charge was a discounted early-departure fee since your group rate was based on a minimum 2-night stay requirement. Your group contract clearly stated that there would be an early-departure fee of $50, but we had negotiated it down to $30. Early departure fees are charged because we hold group blocks for many months and in the process must reject group requests from other teams. It is unfair to the hotel when a group decides to leave 1 night early, when the hotel could have received group business from another team that would have stayed for both nights. We are glad that you enjoyed your stay and thank you for your positive ratings of our location, sleep quality, rooms and cleanliness. I have already replied to your brother, Chipchase B's review which stated most of the same complaints. Our accessible room-type includes 1 Queen-size bed, a jacuzzi tub and an accessible bathroom. At the time of booking, we always inform our guests of exactly how many beds are included in each one of our room-types. We will look into converting the shower into a roll-in for easier access for our wheelchair guests. Also, during snow falls, our snow removal company ensures that all of our walkways and sidewalks are fully-accessible to all of our guests. Thank you for your review! « hide
