“Moving Our Daughter back to College”

This was my family's 2nd time to Super 8 (same location) since Dec 2012. In my opionion, the night check in person (same one both times we stayed) was not very professional and did not know what she was doing. When we checked out the 1st time we stayed, the check out clerk said that we did not even showed up in the system and tried to correct the error and asked for my credit card to swipe again which caused my credit card to be charged twice. I called a few days later when I saw the extra charge on my credit card (on line) and the manager gave me a refund. Also, the 1st time we stayed the bathroom was filthy. The bathtub had human hairs all over it and there was blood droppings on the floor by the toilet. The 2nd time we stayed, I decided not to register on line because of the double charge I had the 1st time. The night time check in clerk acted like she did not want to be working and assumed there was one person from my family checking in when there was 3 of us standing together with luggage at the desk checking in. We knew already that there was breakfast included with our room but she did not mention to us about breakfast or the time breakfast was served. Also, she acted like she wanted to visit with her friend more who was next to the check in/out counter. We reserved our room for one night but decided to stay one more night and when the hotel clerk swiped my debit card it declined (I had ample money on the card to pay for the room). Lukily I had an extra debit card to fall back on. I called my bank a few hours later to find out what the problem was and was told that there system declined my card because they thought it was an error of double charging me. I have a suggestion for the hotel clerks at the front desk, 1. Ask guest if they registered and payed on line. Don't swipe the guest credit card or debit card until they totally check out so that there will be no double charging or declined cards. 2. tell guest about the free coffee, laundry facility, and breakfast including of time served. 3. night time clerk to be more alert and not visiting with friend/friends in lobby unless on break.
