We booked because of location. The 1-800 number stated 1 smoking room was available, I wanted to know how bad the room smelled of smoke so thought I would call them direct, the rep had a hard time giving the number as her assured me the room would not smell, but I demanded I speak to the local rep. When I did so 1 min after speaking to the central booking I was told there we no rooms, I explained to her that I had just got off the phone with central booking and they stated there was one room left! She was rude and said I said we have no rooms!!!! After speaking with this friendly rep I called central booking again and was told they had 1 smoking room and was assured it would not smell because of the cleaning process that is used, so being a non smoker (allergic) but needing the room as its location was next door to the resturant as to where our business dinner would be taking place we went ahead and booked!!! After dinner and a few drinks we walked over to our hotel (next door) and booked in, the lady at the front desk was rude asking me if I were the lady who called earlier to book and was told there was no rooms then booked through central booked. I denied this as she was rude and did not want to encounter a argument, she went further stating that she had promissed the last room to someone else, but had a little smile when she said oh well its a smoking room!!!!!! She was right, the smoking room was alful, either my husband and I slept, them smell and air quality were so bad, the sheets and pillows we could not even sleep near, we kept our coats on most of the night with the window open thats how bad it was!!!!!!!!!! Early morning we were up,not even showered and heading out to some fresh air, once home and showered all of our clothing had to be washed for the smell of smoke was terrible. I was told it would not smell because of your wonderful cleaning process!!! Another major concern of ours was after we checked in we asked the lady at the front desk if we could go out a side door to access our car for our belongings, she said maybe if there is not too much snow to get out!!!! She was right, we could not get out the fire exit to access our car if it wasnt for my husband moving away the snow to make a small opening that two smaller framed people could get through!!!! Fire trap as we checked other exits and only found one other door clear and usable other than the front entrance. So no unless we are stuck we will never book at a super 8 again, « less
