“Nothing special”

  , Regina
My cousin (with the same last name) and I were staying in the same hotel at the same time. This seemed to confuse the staff. They couldn't understand the difference in first names, which made check in a hassle. The staff person was chatting with someone else (another staff person?) when I was trying to check in. I didn't know when she was trying to talk to me or with the other person. There was nothing special about this hotel that justified the more expensive price than better quality hotels.Me and the rest of my family had a horrible sleep. The air quality in the room was horrible and we all woke up with headaches and sore throats. Fortunately, about an hour after leaving the hotel, we started feeling better. We didn't get the complete continental breakfast. We came out about a half hour before the breakfast was over, and there were items that were "out of stock". Not one staff person checked on the supplies while we were there. I always stay at hotels with continental breakfasts, and there is always staff checking up on what is there and what isn't, and restocking where necessary. One main difference I saw between this continental breakfast and any others I have been to is the cut up fruit and muffins. While I am sure this is a personal preference, I didn't like it. I want my food handled as little as possible, but the staff cut up and wrapped oranges and muffins. While I am sure some people would appreciate this, this seemed out of the ordinary to me.
