“Disappointing”

We stayed here for 1 night & booked online with the hotel chain Wyndham Rewards website. We booked a queen room for 2 people. Upon checking in we were assigned a run down room in the old section. We checked out the room & were very disappointed. It was smelly, old & in need of some upkeep. We had requested a room in the new section when booking online. Upon going back down to the front desk, the girl told me the newly renovated rooms were more money. I was surprised by that because on their website there is only 1 price listed for a queen room without any disclaimers regarding the age of the room! She reluctantly gave us another room on the fifth floor. We thought it strange when the elevator door opened & there weren't any hall lights on. Our room was lovely but freezing cold. The heater was not functioning. The girl at the front desk promptly came up when phoned to fix it. There did not seem to be any power to the heating unit, microwave, fridge or TV. She apologized & off we went back to the front desk. Third room was good, upgraded to king bed since there were not any functional queen rooms available. The bathroom wasn't very clean. There were black hairs in the tub, behind the door etc. There were huge finger prints & smears on the TV. The continental breakfast was very basic & poorly filled.It seems as if this hotel disrespects the guests by first offering the worst rooms which is evident by having a whole floor of nice new rooms "turned off" & not guest ready. Very disappointing service.Disappointing to book through the hotel chain Incentive program Wyndham Rewards & be treated poorly by being offered the poorest room available instead of the opposite as we have experienced with other hotel chain incentive programs (Priority Club, Hyatt)
