“The most un-professional staff I have ever encountered”

Upon arriving at the hotel at 845pm our kids had been in the car for over 4 hours, my 2 year old and 5 year old were a little wound up, but not screaming or loud just a little hyper. She gave us keys to our room and after lugging all of our stuff up to the 2nd level the keys did not work. In addition the people in the room next to us had their TV on a very high volume and I cannot blame them, they were watching the NCAA Final four. I did not feel comfortable asking them to turn it down as it was a big game, so when I went back to the front desk to tell her the keys didn't work I asked if we could possibly have a different room, she said well we are sold out (there were 4 cars in the parking lot) so I said there are no empty rooms? She responded with yes, but they have reservations. I too had a reservation that was pre-paid. I explained that it had been a long car ride and if possible we would like another room on the opposite side. Her exact response "well then you are going to have to learn to control your children" Who is she to tell a customer that, especially since at this point the kids were sitting chairs waiting to go to our room. I have been in customer service many years, and I would never dream of speaking to someone that way. She should be fired or at least rep remanded! I will never stay at this hotel again!!!
