Called ahead to have room cooled as I have asthma.I stayed in the car for an hour while hubby cooled off the very hot room. Had to park away from door of handicapped room because a construction vehicle was in it. Called desk, asked to have truck moved, was informed that there was no way for them to contact truck owners, it was implied that I was simply lazy and didn't want to walk very far. True, I am handicapped, but why should that matter? So I said I would call the police instead. Truck was moved 10 minutes later, and what appeared to be illegal construction workers stood around outside our door for 15 minutes speaking a Mexican dialect of Spanish were somewhat threatening to me and my husband. I did not let on that I speak Spanish and several dialects of Mexican Spanish, but I certainly understood them. Left to get dinner, new truck with fake handicapped placard in space in front of our room. Went to front desk with license plate. Clerk looked through pile of room receipts with ALL THE SAME SIGNATURE ON THEM, then informed me that it was legitimate. Annoyed, angry, slept poorly.Dirty bathroom, hair on the floor. Sheets looked slept on. Musty smell. Pool open short hours, full of screaming, very young, unsupervised children. Mother eventually showed up, smoking in the pool area. Hot tub was filthy, literally stunk. Underage children jumping in and out of hot tub, into cold water, and back, so hot tub was only slightly warm. 2nd night, a/c condenser went out, called maintenance, woman at desk was extremely rude, seemed annoyed that we called, and stated quite sternly 'I'll SEE IF maintenance can come back, but I doubt it.' Maintenance came to the door, knocked, and when I answered the door, did not identify himself, just said 'Well, do you want me to fix your air conditioner or not?' He was not wearing a uniform or identification of any sort. He messed with the a/c a bit, and I left to get pizza. I got back, and the air conditioner was put back together, but not fixed. I called the desk and got no answer, called back, and got rudeness, told that maintenance had already come out. no sleep that night.Next morn, spoke Wendy at desk, and she told me that room would be cool, or things moved to another room, which would be cool, by the time we got back. She was nice. That night, the a/c unit had been replaced, but not soon enough to make dressing for our formal occasion comfortable. Breakfast was good and hot. All in all, a huge disappointment.
